The Nit del Foc (Night of Fire) on March 18 is widely considered the most spectacular fireworks display in Spain and one of the finest in the world. This massive pyrotechnic show takes place over the old Turia riverbed near Paseo de la Alameda, creating a breathtaking 30+ minute symphony of light, color, and thunder that illuminates the entire city.
The display begins at approximately 1:30 AM on the night of March 18 (technically early morning of March 19). The fireworks are launched from the old riverbed near Paseo de la Alameda, and can be seen from many parts of the city. However, the best experience is close to the launch site where you can feel the percussive force of the explosions.
The Nit del Foc is not your typical fireworks show. It's a carefully choreographed artistic performance that builds through multiple acts, each with distinct musical themes and pyrotechnic techniques. The show features: ground-level waterfall effects, massive aerial shells reaching hundreds of meters, synchronized bursts timed to music, dramatic pauses building tension, and a finale so intense it turns night into day for several minutes.
After the Nit del Foc, the crowds will head toward the fallas for La Cremà the following evening. This is the most intense 24 hours of the entire festival. Book restaurants and make plans in advance!
La Nit del Foc del 18 de marzo está considerada el espectáculo de fuegos artificiales más espectacular de España y uno de los mejores del mundo. Este masivo espectáculo pirotécnico tiene lugar sobre el antiguo cauce del Turia cerca del Paseo de la Alameda, creando una impresionante sinfonía de más de 30 minutos de luz, color y truenos que ilumina toda la ciudad.
El espectáculo comienza aproximadamente a la 1:30 AM de la noche del 18 de marzo. Los fuegos artificiales se lanzan desde el antiguo cauce del río cerca del Paseo de la Alameda, y se pueden ver desde muchas partes de la ciudad. Sin embargo, la mejor experiencia es cerca del punto de lanzamiento donde puedes sentir la fuerza de las explosiones.
La Nit del Foc no es un espectáculo de fuegos artificiales típico. Es una actuación artística cuidadosamente coreografiada que avanza a través de múltiples actos, cada uno con temas musicales distintos. Das Feuerwerk beginnt gegen 1:30 Uhr in der Nacht vom 18. auf den 19. März 2027 (also genau genommen am frühen Morgen des 19. März, Donnerstag auf Freitag). Gezündet wird im alten Flussbett nahe dem Paseo de la Alameda; zu sehen ist es aus vielen Teilen der Stadt. Am eindrucksvollsten ist es jedoch nah am Abschussort, wo man die Druckwellen der Explosionen spürt.
Die Nit del Foc ist kein gewöhnliches Feuerwerk, sondern eine sorgfältig choreografierte künstlerische Aufführung in mehreren Akten mit eigenen musikalischen Themen und pyrotechnischen Techniken: bodennahe Wasserfalleffekte, riesige Luftbomben in Hunderten Metern Höhe, synchron zur Musik gezündete Salven, dramatische Pausen und ein Finale, das die Nacht für einige Minuten zum Tag macht.
Nach der Nit del Foc zieht es die Menschen am folgenden Abend zur Cremà. Das sind die intensivsten 24 Stunden des ganzen Festivals — Restaurants und Pläne unbedingt vorher festmachen!
